The Strategic Programme for the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine was launched in kmbs on October 30 and is aimed at facilitating the development of team capabilities and the formation of a new leadership type inside the Ministry.
Helena Savruk, the head of the Strategic Programme for the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, told in her solemn speech:
"New models of the conflict require a new defence system model of Ukraine - this is the main task of our programme. Also it is aimed at developing new business model of the Ministry of Defence, that will help efficiently implement the vision of the Minister of Defence of Ukraine and institutionalise changes in the team".
Ms. Helena thanked the representatives of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and the Government of Canada for their trust, support and true partnership in strengthening the defence capability of Ukraine.
Andrii Taran, the Minister of Defence, also stressed the importance and international significance of this initiative:
"This programme proves that good will, common values and efforts of representatives of different countries to achieve common goals enable to launch a unique educational project within extremely short time frame. I am sure that this programme will help set up and strengthen the new leadership type".
The ceremony was Larysa Haladza, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada. In her speech, she addressed the representatives of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine:
"The fundamentals of democratic accountability, interdepartmental cooperation and cultural transformation will help you during your training to understand the decisions you can make and to engage into program coordination, thus providing the best policies for the Ministry of Defence and the best advice to the Minister. I am immensely proud of the possibility to work together with kmbs, and the chance to introduce the unique programme that will inspire, transform and help implement your defence reform".
