The strategy for the development of the national physical rehabilitation system in Ukraine was the focus of the final third module of the program "Rehabilitation. Creators of Change" program, which kmbs implements together with the CF "Patients of Ukraine" within the framework of the project “Rehabilitation of War Trauma in Ukraine.”
The participants discussed the role of the state in the development of the rehabilitation system and relevant state programs with Tetyana Berezhna, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine; Yevheniya Smirnova, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine; Olena Kulchytska, Advisor to the Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine; and Yulia Sokolovska, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
Together with Pauline Kleinitz, WHO Rehabilitation Programs Consultant, the participants analyzed international trends in rehabilitation within the primary care system. In conjunction with Jan Egil Nordvik, project manager at the Norwegian Directorate of Health, they discussed the pivotal role of data analysis as a critical element of the rehabilitation system.
We are also pleased that this module was the teaching debut of Maria Grishina, Chief Operating Officer of the CF "Patients of Ukraine." During the three classes, Maria shared her experience in fundraising and interaction with donors and discussed with the participants the role of non-governmental organizations in developing the physical rehabilitation system in Ukraine.
The program culminated in the defense of group projects, on the elements of which the participants worked throughout the program together with Eduard Maltsev, Deputy Dean of kmbs.
The program "Rehabilitation.
