At the beginning of April, the Chapter of the Georgy Gongadze Prize formed a short list of nominees for the 2021 Prize. They were TV presenter Myroslava Barchuk, Liga.net editor-in-chief Borys Davydenko and Reporters editor-in-chief Marichka Paplauskaite.
We want to get to know them better and look behind the scenes of their work, so we continue the tradition of online interviews with each one of them.

The Georgy Gongazde Prize was established by PEN Ukraine in partnership with the Kyiv-Mohyla Business School, kmbs Alumni Platform, and Ukrayinska Pravda.
The purpose of the Award is to support those journalists who are not afraid of challenges, are able to find innovative ways to convey information, open new opportunities for the entire media environment and are able to create sustainability in what they do.
Under the terms of the Prize, only members of the Chapter have the right to nominate journalists for it.
This year's Chapter includes: Georgy Gongadze's wife, journalist, editor-in-chief and head of the Ukrainian Voice of America Myroslava Gongadze, president of the Ukrainian PEN, writer Andriy Kurkov, journalist, co-founder and owner of Ukrayinska Pravda Olena Prytula, Kyiv-Mohyla Business School dean Oleksandr Savruk, a patron of the Prize and a representative of the powered KMBS Alumni platform Maksym Dyadyk, a writer, human rights activist Larysa Denysenko, the founder of the Historical Truth and the Press Archive Museum, and the first laureate of the Gongadze Prize Vakhtang Kipiani, publicist, winner of the Gongadze Prize Pavlo Kazarin, head of the Kyiv bureau of Radio Svoboda Inna Kuznetsova.
The award is presented annually on May 21, Georgiy Gongadze's birthday. The winners of the Award were Vakhtang Kipiani (2019) and Pavlo Kazarin (2020).
