On April 8, kmbs lecturer Yevhen Pentsak joined the Economic Development Council of Ukraine.
Yevhen has an operational background as an analyst at the Institute of Health Economics and Management, and here at kmbs he lectures business analytics and finance for owners and top executives of Ukrainian companies.
Within the framework of the Council's activities, Yevhen's expertise will be useful when verifying data from international analytic groups, monitoring Ukrainian research centers, and developing proposals aimed at maintaining Ukraine's economy.
On April 8, Denys Shmyhal, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, announced the establishment of the Council for Economic Development of Ukraine. According to him, leading Ukrainian economists and researchers will develop a set of rapid measures to overcome the effects of the pandemic, will design a plan to stimulate the economy in the new environment, as well as a long-term strategy for the development of Ukraine.
Apart from Yevhen, the group of experts includes: Ihor Petrashko, the Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture; Yaroslav Zhalilo, the Deputy Director, National Institute for Strategic Studies; Ella Libanova, the Director, V. Ptukha Institute for Demography and Social Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Anders Aslund, the Senior Research Officer, the Atlantic Council, Oleh Ustenko, the Advisor to the President of Ukraine; Eric Naiman, the Managing Partner, Capital Times, and Willem Bouiter, Professor at Columbia University.
