Traditionally, the dictation is broadcast on several Ukrainian radio waves and broadcast from several studios. 

This year, one of the studios was located in the kmbs shelter. Together with the school's team, the dictation was written by Honoured Artist of Ukraine Yuriy Dyak, politician Iryna Gerashchenko, and President of the Kyiv Mohyla Academy Serhiy Kvit.

The text of the dictation was entitled "Roads of Ukraine" and was written by writer and Shevchenko Prize winner Kateryna Kalytko. The dictation was read by theatre and film actor Oleksii Hnatkovskyi. He became famous for his role as Ivan Dovbush in the film directed by Oles Sanin.

"The author of the dictation surprised us with a cocktail of punctuation marks," says Mariana Doboni, PhD in Philology, Ukrainian language teacher, editor, translator, kmbs communicator. "I was very curious whether I managed to identify them correctly, listening carefully to Oleksiy Hnatkovsky's intonations. I think that each of them felt their own story in the lines of the dictation, superimposed on them memories or experiences from travelling around Ukraine, the events of the Russian-Ukrainian war, and the awareness of being a Ukrainian. Recently, I came across an opinion on the Internet that if we write a dictation of unity, does it really mean that without the dictation there is no unity among us. I think this is extreme and distorted. For me, this is a holiday, a tradition, a day of excitement, curiosity, new things, an opportunity to feel like I belong to a community united by love for Ukraine and the Ukrainian language."
